FAQs

How long will my ticket be valid?
Your ticket is valid for both days of the expo, though most people find that attending for just one day is sufficient.

I've purchased tickets, but don't seem to have received them. What should I do?
If you have purchased tickets, but not received them, do not worry. Working In does not issue physical tickets. When you book, an e-ticket is sent to the email address you provided. You will need to print this e-ticket and bring it with you to the expo.

If you still can't find your e-ticket, check your email junk folder as sometimes the email with your tickets attached can end up in your junk/spam folder.

If you still cannot find your e-ticket, please contact expo-tickets@workingin.com with the name of the expo, full names of all ticket holders, and the email address you used when purchasing your ticket to be resent confirmation details.

I've lost my e-tickets. What should I do?
If it’s the day of the expo and you’ve lost or misplaced your e-ticket, go to the expo and speak to our counter staff. They have access to a record of every ticket sold. You’ll need to show photo ID to have your e-ticket replaced.

I'm having difficulty purchasing my tickets. What should I do?
If you’re experiencing difficulty purchasing your ticket(s) through our website, there are three general reasons that may apply:

  1. Temporary errors – If you receive an error screen, it is likely that there is a temporary error with the system. Try to purchase your tickets again the following day.
  2. Declined credit card – A ‘declined’ response is generated by your bank and cannot be altered by our systems. To resolve this error, please contact your bank directly.
  3. Invalid credit card – We accept only Visa and MasterCard. We cannot, unfortunately, accept payment from American Express (Amex), Diners Club, or any debits cards such as Switch Maestro or Visa Electron.
Advance purchase of expo tickets is only available with a credit card. We cannot accept bank transfers, Western Union, cash or cheque.

Can you help me get a work visa?
Yes, visit Working In Visas for more information and visa assistance. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet people who can assist you with specific visa queries, including the team from Working In Visas at the expos and Department of Immigration and Citizenship representatives at the UK events.

Are the expos restricted to UK citizens?
No, the expos are not restricted to citizens from the countries in which the expos are held. If you are able to travel to any of our expos, you are very welcome to attend, regardless of your nationality.

Can you help me get a job?
Although Working In isn’t a recruitment agency, through www.workingin-australia.com you’ll find many links to jobs and employers seeking skilled workers. You may also contact Working In Visas prior to or during the show to schedule a consultation and discuss your prospects and strategy for securing skilled work in Australia.

What’s the best time to go?
The expo is extremely popular and does get busy, especially on Saturday between 10am and 2pm. To avoid queues and maximise your time with potential new employers and other service providers and experts, we suggest arriving on Sunday morning or late afternoon on either day.

Do I need to attend both days of the Expo?
Most people find that attending one day of the expo is sufficient. The same companies exhibit on both days and the seminars that we run on the first day are repeated again on the second.

Do I need to wear a suit?
No, you do not need to wear a suit. Smart casual attire is sufficient.

Do you have concession prices?
Currently, we do not provide group discounts.

Can I bring my children?
You may bring your children to the expo. Attendees under 16 years of age are free.
